Im a teenaged girl and I have been trying to slim down. But Im not that serious about it because it is purely vanity and isnt a big deal. But in the past week i have lost 5 pounds. I have been eating more than i usually do, for example i ate a dozen eggs in less than five days without even noticing until i counted them and thought about it. And I eat alot of cereal. I think i ate like 3 apples yesterday. What's going on?

I would not worry too much unless the weight loss continues in a drastic way. Since you are a teenager, your metabolism may be speeding up. If you have been watching what you eat, and eating healthy foods like apples, eggs and cereal instead of fast foods and empty calories it could result in weight loss. Go to the library and check out The schwarzbein principal. It will explain how the body works and what it needs to lose weight. Health above all is what matters most. Take care of yourself and good luck to you in your endevours.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read. I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off. It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise. Get started today!

Are you a younger teenager (13-15) or an older one? If you are younger, you could still be growing (height wise, that is) which will take up your calories and then some, you could still eat alot & lose weight if you're growing. Or maybe you're are more physically active, burning those extra calories off. Since school is out, you may be much more active without realizing it, you're just doing everyday stuff, but you're also not sitting in a chair all day, either.

if you think about it, you are not eating anything to gain weight. stop eating the eggs like crazy though, could lead to high cholestorol. apples are good for you and so is cereal, depends on what kind, but if that's all you ate constantly for 5 days, that is why you are losing weight, and also i take it that you are active at such a young age. ** see a doctor to be sure though**

well, since u r a teenager, u might just be giong through a body change, when this happens, most times girls usually lose weight, pay close attention to ur self, and u'll notice that other body parts may have changed also. if not that, than maybe something happened that might have stressed u out just a little, and it caused a bit of weight loss, or u might just b more active than u think and it outweighs what u eat,
i hope this was helpful, take care. :)

It is natural for a girls weight to fluctuate about 5 pounds or so with her menstrual cycle.

In addition to the foods you eat, your physical activity can also impact your weight.

If you are experiencing drastic, unexplained weight loss it could be a sign of a medical condition such as diabetes or a kidney disorder. It would be appropriate to consult your physician if you are concerned that this is the case.

hmmm..... lets see..you say you had apples and cereal....all these contain negative calories and help to slim down...as far as egss are concerned..ther are rich in protines and vitamins...it hardly has any fat or carbohydrate...and since you are a teenager...sudeen weight loss may also be because of harmonal imbalance or any other reason...wait for another week and if the problem presists consult a doc.

Due to hormone imbalance, a number of children have become obese or subjected to precocious puberty. But hormone imbalance can also be hyperthyroidism, which causes loss of weight rather than obesity!

Loss of weight is not a healthy sign. get checked up from a medical practitioner, no matter what field of medicine.

It's summer and if you are more active then you will eat more. Especially if you have a high metabolism. You have to fuel your summer activities some how.
