To help curb your appetite drink water (or a low calorie soft drink) when you feel hungry. Thirst is often mistaken for hunger, but even if you are hungry having something in your stomach may help. Turn to things other than food when you are happy, mad, sad, bored, etc. Go for a walk, work on a hobby, read a book...do something to take your mind of food. If you do eat, make it something low cal and healthy...keep "junk" food out of the house so it's not convenient. Start an exercise plan and try to get to where you are working out for about an hour each day. It will take time to do it properly, but you CAN get those pounds off and train yourself not to reward every emotion you have with food. Good luck!

Antidepressants can cause weight gain but do not stop taking them unless your doctor tells you to do so. If and when it is time, you will most likely need to be weaned off of them. Concentrate on eating healthy foods and divide your dinner plate into thirds. ½ should be vegetables, ¼ protein and ¼ a starch. An excellent book is The Schwarzbein Principle. It explains in layman’s terms how the body functions and what you need to do to lose weight. Her cookbook The Schwarzbein Principle Cookbook is full of delicious recipes that are quick and easy to make and you will never go hungry. Within a few weeks, you will notice your body changing to a smaller defined shape. I actually have a waist again and my legs are firmed and toned. Best of luck to you for a bright and happy future.

Hoodia is a good natural herb to help you control your appetite. I'm currently taking a product called Herbalean which contains it as well as ephedra from Ma Huang for energy. It's a fantastic product and I've lost 20 pounds in 3 months and 2 sizes off my waist. If you want more information, call 1-888-244-DIET. Herbalean is a natural supplement and I'm sure it'll help you.

I have hungry days, too. I recently found out that I have to manage hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). On hungry days I gave a "quick fix" snack. I'll have a high protein meal with about 4 oz of juice. The juice is the sugar you need for a quick lift. The protein will keep you going for hours.

You could start by using the right term ... "curbing." If you go the "curving" route I think you will be doing the opporite of what you want! ;-)
You don't say what you weight or how tall you are or whether you are physically fit, so it is tough to say what you might do. It does sound as if you need to focus on something else you can enjoy.

Think about sex. That always helps me not to think about food. Drink lots of water to fill your stomach. And start doing a fun exercises activity like belly dancing, or get a Carmen Electra Striperobics video. Those are fun, they amp you sex appeal, make you feel better about yourself because you feel sexier, and it doesn't feel like a workout! Try it, you won't regret it!
