Obviously.
Knowledge of what, good and evil? I don't get it. How is having knowledge of good and evil a bad thing. If Adam had no knowledge of evil how would he have knowledge of good? It's a silly story.

I don't really understand where you are coming from AT ALL. If you even pretended to know a little bit of what is in the Bible you would not be asking such a remarkably uninteligent question. I am also highly offended by the fact that you put the name "Steve" in your question title. You should know as well as I do that homosexuality is an abomination to the intended purpose for men and women. It's almost as if you are putting yourself out there for the sole purpose of offending people. I would be happy to answer any serious question you may have regarding the God and Bible that I hold so dear. But until you have one or are willing to take the chip off your shoulder and write an unbiased question, please don't write any more questions like these. I don't enjoy having my faith and my intelligence insulted by people who question something they know absolutely nothing about.

The Garden of Eden/Adam & Eve story is not based on the creative force of the universe but on some individuals in that area mining gold in the past. Read up on the Anannaki, especially the story on the Sumerian tablets. It parallels the christian version with some major changes to enslave humans even further along the way.

God knew by placing that tree there and creating a snake that can talk that those two fudge packers would eat from it. He also knew that many years later he would suffocate and drown everyone except a 600 year old smelly man and his pets. He also knew that Egyptians would make him so upset that he would maliciously kill innocent babies. He also knew that Joseph would be out of the house that night that he took Mary.
With as powerful and knowledgeable that god is, it's a wonder that he even tries!

1) Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve. lol
2) God gave Adam & Eve everything. The earth, all the animals in their dominion, food, shelter (or a lack of need for it), life itself. God only asked ONE thing....dont' eat of this ONE tree.
Its like if I give you $10,000,000 and say, "all I ask is that you don't buy a yellor car." Would you go out and buy a yellow car? Or would you buy a red car and be happy with the 10 million?

well when they ate from the tree they stopped being innocent. i think they did do things which would be sinful if they knew what sin was before they ate from the tree but since they didn't know about good and evil it wasn't. it's like that law that if a crazy person is so crazy that they don't know killing is wrong then they cant get the death penalty for it. thats why its not a sin when animals kill each other.

Makes God seem a little insecure, doesn't it.
2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Kind of suggests he wanted to keep us like pets....

just b/c you can't read doesn't mean God is stupid and a real hard-***. of you read a little closer and looked between the lines, you would find that He did not want them to eat it for then they themselves would know good and evil and be able to choose and would see what was not theirs to see. God allowed them to go into Eden but they broke the rules, just as in you go to the store and shoplift, you broke the rules, you get thrown out and their angry.
