some people say that christo-pagan is a insult to both christians and pagans. i say the same because pagans believe in so much more than the christians do and besides christians killed pagans at one time and stole most of there beliefs as well.

5 points to who ever tells me why this is a religion to start with

As a Pagan, it really makes me sad to see my fellow Pagans take history out of context and ignore the parts that make our own predicessors look bad.

#1. Christianity is full of Pagan concepts, much more than Jewish concepts- Virgin birth, child of a God born of a mortal woman, the trinity, all Pagan concepts. Therefore, why we feel the need to throw up an impenetrable wall, I don't friggin know!

#2. Umbanda, Voodoo, and Santeria are three Christian/Pagan blends with HUGE followings that have been around since long before you were born to complain.

I am not going to even address your dubious history except to point out that Pagans also killed Christians, and most of these killings were political in nature, rather than religious.

Thank you. Move along.

I have never even heard of it. Of course you will believe that pagans believe more than Christians you are pagan I'm Chrisitian and I believe that my beliefs are true! It's essentially just saying my religions better than yours. You feel aggrieved because Christians killed Pagans at one time and now deny others the freedom to practise exactly what they want to.

Surely you agree that events in history are wrong? Then why are you clinging to it to define whos in and whose out? I'm not saying the Church hasn't been an abomination to Gods will in some periods in History, they were corrupt and used to keep record on who went there and force money out of people while ignoring the poors needs completely and utterly as if they didnt exist. But I wouldn't deny someone the freedom to believe what they want to, what do you want out of clinging to history? To increase division? Well it's generally accepted that the more ppl know about something the less predjudiced they are about it, more exposure, less isolation.
It's almost as if you are saying that they don't have the right to belive because they dont acknowledge history. That is a conservative view if ever I heard one!

Yahoo or Google it, using the following terms: christo-paganism, christo-wicca, christo-witch.

If you don't like it, then that is YOUR problem, not theirs. They find solace in their religion and that's all it should matter to them. :-) I support their right to mingle religions as they see fit.

Actually, Jesus was more pagan than "Christian" as we know it today. The teachings have parallels, especially in "do unto others..."
