To be a saint, there must be evidence of miracles. Wonders aren't the same thing.
Besides, no saint would leave a legacy of violence and dissension as did Luther's rebellion. Many of his reforms were eventually accepted, yes, but Luther was nonetheless a rebel.

I believe he should be a saint... since most of the reforms he made for the Protestant Church in his time were later made to Catholic Church on the second Vatican Coucil... so yeah, he should be a saint. But well, you know there is always envys or fear to confussions that cause the Catholic Church not to make him a saint.

Martin Luther is a saint. A saint is anyone who believes in Christ as his personal Savior. I am a saint; Martin Luther is a saint. Catholics are NOT saints...I hate to break it to you, but if the pope believes what he teaches, then he is going to hell!

Are you joking?
Maybe not. I think you are sincere.
Martin Luther started the Protestant Reformation in Germany. Largely inpart to him, the Roman Empire Catholic Church no longer has as much power as it used to.
Luther started reading his Bible one day and realized that the Cath Church was preaching a false gospel that contradicted the basic things the Bible taught: salvation by grace through faith, priesthood of every believer etc.

Maybe he did wonders. But to become a saint one must have a saintly demeanour. Calm and kind statured. More than the catholic church, his dream had a larger picture. H e achieved more than anything freedom for the average man. a commoner.

Who are we to make some one Saint? Saint is only Jesus who was free of any sin. No mortal human on this earth is worthy of being called a Saint So and So. The Bible tells us to be Saints because Jesus is Saint, but not Saint as in a title but Saint in his divinity and Spirituality.

The "wonders" he did for the Catholic church became the Lutheran denomination. He split from the Catholics.

Martin Luthor was not a catholic reformer...so much as a reformer that formed his own following.
