Martin Luther was not wrong. There was corruption in the Chuch that he addressed. But he did not want to break off into another Christian denomination.

hey - why would you say Martin Luther was wrong? He had some good points. Thats why so many people converted to protestantism and why the catholic church had to change. If they didnt, there might have been more protestants today....

Who said he's wrong? I mean the Catholic church at the time did but obviously he hit a nerve with the people. There were enough people out there who agreed with him to fracture the church. I don't think it was a matter of who was right or wrong.

I think those reforms and changes would have happened anyway.
In fact, changes and reforms didn't really happen full-blast until Vatican II -- which was over 400 years after Luther died!

There were many religious reformers in history. Most started their own following and that is how we have so many denominations at present.
