herbst has anybody heard about it or seen it. I am scared. HELP!!!?

I have to get a herbst for my over bite and then I get braces I am really scared because what if it hurts or something

My sons teacher had this before she had her braces, and she was fine.

I know someone who has a Herbst Appliance and they don't mind it, I dont think it hurts very much if at all.
