I've had TMJ problems for about a year, I get these lumps at the top of my jaw, around my ear lobes but not on them. They're under the skin, are quite small and barely visable.
I read on a couple of forums that people with TMJ can get them but really want to know what they are.

Fluid that builds up. Just like if you've ever had to have your jaw reset, fluid drains into your ears and throat (lovely, eh?).
