You make a very good point. Unfortunately it isn't that simple because the feud goes back hundreds of years to the start of Islam and the Islamic and Christian Crusades. Both sides want to be victorious, both sides want to be right. Until you can get leaders in here like Saladin and King Richard who put their differences aside for the good of each of their nations, there will always be fueding.

That verse from Micah will only happen when Jesus personally rules here as King of the Earth. The Muslims will not be happy about that.
Christianity and Islam are directly opposed to each other. Christians are forbidden to take action against anyone so there should not be violence on their part, but unfortunatly the Koran gives Muslims permission to kill unbelievers that refuse to believe Islam.

You quoted a prophecy about the time after the return of Christ. Until then, "there will be wars and rumors of wars, nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes in different places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." Matthew 24.
What Jesus offers is peace in our hearts in spite of the turmoil in the world. We are told to pray for the peace of Israel, but not the peace of the world. That won't happen till the millineum.

Ok, I've got the radical Christians to agree to not blow up innocent women and children with suicide bombers, you get the radical Islamists to agree to the same.
As I heard someone from Israel explain why the Israelis don't reach to the Muslims and find peace, "If the Muslim countries around Israel laid down their weapons, there would be peace. If the people of Israel laid down their weapons, there would be no more Israel".
The radical interpretation of the Koran that many Islamists go by, basically obligates them to kill those that don't believe in the religion of Islam. Those non-believers are infidels. The only thing worse than an infidel, are those Muslims that will not go to Jihad (Holy War) with the infidel.
How do you make peace with a people, whose religion advocates they kill you for not believing what they believe?

Man has killed man in name of GOD. Sometimes I suspect if there is any GOD at all. After all its all about fear which makes GOD a important personality.
You are correct about CHRISTIANS and MUSLIMS but truth is that they will never do that and we are going to see more blood shed in future. I am in INDIA and you know we strongly feel that BUSH is making fool os whole USA and UN.
He is not after any god-damn terrorists...it is all about money and power and he is clearly against muslim countries having power.
Just see what happens with IRAN and after that....there will be some another country and I feel that PAKISTAN is not far away.
GOD is a name which have seen millions being killed with brutality....just turn some pages of history.

The first step would have to be all the organised religions agreeing common principles ...
Personally I think I will be ice skating in hell before that happens (to keep up the theological theme).
Peace out

People believe that life issues are the path to heaven so what good is peace on earth if everyone is going to hell?

Why would you place the responsibility on these 2 groups to produce peace on earth? Isn't that the responsibility of us all?
