To start with, living a long time starts with genetics, which you have no control over.
Beyond that, the less food you consume, and the more exercise you get over your lifetime, the longer you are likely to live. In fact, it has been proven that starving yourself leads to a longer life span.
Eat very little fat, lots of rice, vegetables and fish. Do not smoke, use drugs, or engage in unsafe behavior. Avoid stress, become a simple farmer.
You can drink wine in small quantities, a couple glasses a week at most.
After you have done those things, the next possibilities become more extreme. You can take a very expensive regimin of vitamins and antioxidants that will help your cells resist ageing.
Live long and prosper!

Proper breathing. life starts with breath and ends with breath. Most indian yogis live beyond 90 years. The most popular yogi presently is Baba Ramdev, teaching the breathing techniques for longevity and health. Cured obesity, arthritis etc. IN July he is coming to U.k. to teach this technique. Take the advantage
Natural death occurs slowly due to regeneration of cells rate being less than daily death rate of cells. This regeneration rate depends on prana power of the body. The life span is decided in number of breaths, so if one slows down breathing, his actual calendar life will increase. Hence the control on breath. slowing it down causes relaxation, lowering of blood pressure.
Death always catches us by legs. meaning, as long as you are able to walk, death is far away.

An 84 year old told me: 'don't think on the dark'. You know, dont focus on things going wrong etc. Only focus on things going right. I've read every book the library had on stress management and I agree with him.

Don't know about the last part, but according to Forbes.com you shouldn't sleep any more than necessary, eat plenty of anti-oxidants (found in kidney beans and green tea), laugh more, think positive, meditate, exercise, be rich and have lots of sex.
