Hot oil treatments work and dont use a brush after you wash your hair.Use a wide toothed comb.When you dye your hair try to use a non-permanent hair dye (one that washes out after 20 washings or something close to that).

I heard mayonnaise too but not from a place you would think. It is a great way to get rid of lice. That being said people were talking about how it killed the lice and happen to make the hair beautiful too.
You need to saturate the hair and glad wrap it tight. Sleep on it and wash it out in the morning. It will be shiny and not dry.
(Also heard that flat beer makes great conditioner.)

I have the same problem - mayo is a good start. I has lots of oils to help hold it to the hair. You might also try hot oil treatments use once every 2 weeks to start for about 2 months then use once a month thereafter. That should restore the moisture and life back to your hair. Don't get impatient it will be a process.

use any good hair oil keep it for 30 mins.. then dip a towel in to hot water.. keep both the ends of the towel dry so that you can hold it and squeze out all the water .. wear it on your hair, like you do after bath, keep it for 10 mins...repeat it again...and then shampoo your hair with a mild shampoo.. and use additional conditioner...the steam will bring out the natural oil of the scalp and give a healthy shine to your hair...
do it atleast 2 times a week... you are sure to feel a difference within a month.

Don't wash it as often. Get styling products from Aveeda. Don't use anything that has alcohol in it like hairspray...it dries your hair out bad. Also, get some Kolesterol...they carry it in beauty supply stores. Do a treatment with it every once in a while...

the mayo thing works...
try leaving it on for about 20 minutes (cover it with a plastic baggie from the supermarket), then rinse it with warm (not hot) water and use a mild shampoo and a good conditioner (such as aussie 3-minute-miracle)...
let it air dry.
this always works for one od my friends, it's the cheapest and best way she's found to moisturize her hair.

wash your hair normally..then rinse with beer......then masage mayonaise in and keep on for 10-15 minutes....rinse well after.....The beer will help strip any styling products..and the mayonaise will condition it....or use olive oil...I've heard that works too.....Oh...make sure you dont have any split ends.....this could keep you hair from absorbing the products as well.
