I agree there is a lot of crime and they have not had a good track record but where are you getting your stats from I think that in to days society there is the good bad and ugly and we can see that in all people those that call them selves Christian, Muslim and beyond.

What religion are you? That is a very generalized statement. There are good and bad in all religion. Christianity is not a religious group by the way, it is a belief, faith and relationship with God. I disagree with you as far as Jesus goes, he is God. I don't know if you crime rate information is correct or not, but most of the population in America is some form of Christianity, so obviously then, you would get it at the top of the list. In that survey though, I don't think all those who claim to be Christians even know what a Christian is, may God show them the truth then. Catholics are a branch of Christians by the way, as are Lutherans, Baptist, and so I learned recently, Jehovah Witnesses. (I know this because I was raised Baptist, converted Catholic, my father also Catholic, married a Lutheran and my sister in law is a JW). I am a Christian, non-denomination.
Right on lil lil lady!!!!
By the way ... Christians out there responding rudely, with vulgar words, you only dishonor yourself and God and make her believe this even more.

you cant depict christian from non-christian and say where the crime rate is coming from. Crime rate is found everywhere and everyone shares different opinions. People are different. You will meet Christians who are good-hearted people who try to live decent lives but still make mistakes. Like you will also meet people who go to church and right afterwards shoots someone. Religion is a sensitive topic. I am Christian and Catholic, I don;t preach and I don't make people around me perfect but however, I pray. I understand that God and the Lord are always with me. So I'd have to say that making a generalization about Christians is almost wrong to do. It's not the religion, it's the people.

I am a Christian. I do not believe I am evil - I believe I am a child of God. I make mistakes (sin) every day, just like every other human being in the world. Christianity does teach that you can rise above suffering & my faith has helped me through many challenges in my life. Jesus was God in human form & my faith is based on Him inasmuch as He is the one who has paid for all my sins, enabling me to go to Heaven when I die. As far as having a bad "track record", Christians have been responsible for just as much suffering & sinfulness as any other human being - being a Christian does not make you any better or worse than anyone else. I know these answers are very simplistic - but it appears that you haven't done quite enough research/soul searching to grasp the actual concept of Christianity. I don't have a problem with people who choose to observe other religions - I do have a problem with people who discriminate against my chosen religion without understanding the tenets of where we are coming from. When you display intolerance towards Christianity, does that mean you aren't a true (insert your religion here)? Why be Christian? It's all about faith - and my belief is that I truly could not do any better. You are free to believe as you wish, my friend, and I will maintain respect for your choice - but don't try to force your ideology on others.

You have not thought out your ideas very far. There are many more Buddhists, and other religious sects than Christians. Is the track records of Christians bad compared with the Romans, Genghis Khan, Atila, and in proportion with the Ottomans, Vikings and the Muslims are doing a pretty good job at killing both other races and creeds as well as their own? There are good and bad in all religions and there are people that are two-faced, does this mean that we should castigate a religion for a few. I am not Christian but I believe that the religions of the world are to better man, but how they are used or the people that use them is not to cast doubt on the true believers of that faith. You further misunderstand that it was not always the church that performed the lying and the misdeeds but also men in lust for power and wealth ( sometimes under the guise of religion) who compounded the rape and pillage of many countries. Alexander the Great invaded and killed, the various emperors of Rome, Idi Amin of Uganda and many more butchered people and look at Cambodia that lost about 1/3 of its population and not done by Christians. Why was the Great Wall of China built...simply to prevent such murder...they reckon about 20,000,000 people were killed before and during the construction.Whereas the Hindu people believe in various gods, other churches (or religions) believe in Jesus Christ, Buddha, and Mohammed as teachers...leaders to the faith. Religion is a mixture of blind faith, myth and the desire for a meaning to our lives. Is the Bible true, are the Sutras or the Koran true or only man's impressions of events of the past great leaders or their insight. One basic thought that runs through most religions is that we should do no harm to others but it is up to the person applying it.

I would like to know where you got your information from? Who carries this data? Surely the federal gov't would disclose this information to the public if it were true.
As far as Christians say love and truth yet you meet bad mouths, etc. I have yet to go to any office or any place that has 100% unity. Every organization, job has at least one hypocrite or unsatisfied person. You can't even be in your own family and not have some discord. Don't lump everyone together as hypocrites because you met one. I am sure you didn't meet a whole congregation of them. And no, we aren't defending them when we say they aren't true Christians, we are just stating facts. They aren't true Christians.
Yes, right. The Catholics and Protestants have had their fair share of massacres and murders. We have been burned at the stake, stoned, beheaded, and kicked out of the public schools WE pay to support.
We have been discriminated against in law because we are made to swear on the Bible, but not allowed to pick it up and read it. We are required to keep it's commandments to not steal or kill or we rot in jail. Yet, we aren't allowed to find that scripture hanging on the courthouse wall that makes us adhere to it.
Please don't make me go on. I could, but I will spare other Yahoo answer's fans by giving them room to add more to it.

Could you give us your references for your claims "worst crime rate of any religious group" and "believe they are evil so they become evil," "Christianity lied, cheated and stole its way to the top" etc. etc. You make some very harsh statements with no references to back them up. I notice, too, that your question contains very little "love and tolerance." One mustn't be the pot calling the kettle black.
You miss the boat entirely when you make these claims. Christians aren't perfect, never claimed to be perfect and screw up on a regular basis. Chrisitans lie, steal, cheat, murder, commit adultery, gossip and on and on and on. Oh good heavens, we're human. And never claimed to be anything else.
All humans (not just Christians) are born with sin natures. The difference is what we choose to do with our lives and our natures. When we accept Jesus as our Lord (Lord means boss, by the way), we are making a commitment to live a more godly life and make an acknowledgement that we cannot live it without God's grace to get us through the tough time.
There are many levels of believers. Some have an easier time of living a godly life than others. For some it is a huge struggle on a daily basis.
But we do what others might not do, we ask for forgiveness and make a sincere effort at repentance. Christianity iis about salvation, living life in the agape love of God. It is about a more humble, gentler, softer way of life. It is about the journey of life we have here on earth. It is about leading God's lost children back to Him.
Be well and be blessed. I hope that you find peace and contentment in your life.

I think that you don't understand what christianity is all about. it isn't about the people as much as it is about God, and a belief that Jesus was his son and died for the sins of the world. Obviously you don't believe that Jesus is the son of God which is a popular belief and I would suggest reading the case for Christ it is a book by an atheist who set out to disprove Jesus was God's son.
Just because someone is a Christian doesn't mean they will be perfect so bad things are bound to happen from people who misinterpret the Bible.

what the hell?? why are you generalizing us?...if you see people who have high crime rate and CLAIM to be christians and continue their bad behavior then they arent christians but a counterfeit...it's like me saying I'm a car because I say "vroom vroom" but I don't do anything else like a car. NOBODY IS PERFECT BY THE WAY BUT saying you are a christian because you want forgiveness by accepting Jesus as your Savior but dont make an effort to change isnt the best thing, they are USING the Lord. But anyway, stop generalizing us, we arent robots, we have different actions. And being a christian is the best feeling there is for me, I wouldnt give up my beliefs for anything.
Why are you trying to rub off our beliefs? You talk about how christians try to "push" their faiths on people but look at you, trying to change people from being christians..is there any difference? I call your actions HYPOCRITICAL

Why don't you just give up on all this... there are so many people on yahoo you are never going to get everyone to agree with you... and I'm guessing that is your goal, because you are repeating questions, and have been for over 2 months now. Have you nothing better to do with your time? and Why would a Christian want to be whatever religion you are... you just seem so mad all the time! So my question to you is, Why be a Pagan/Taoist or whatever you are, when you are constantly mad and can't find peace within yourself? I do sincerely hope you find that one day!
