Because we are the big brother of the world, The guardians of freedom and democracy.

A lot of people on this post say we stick our nose into too much, yet it took France a total of three hours after the Tsunami to say that America was not doing enough, then their assistance was not even half what the US gave.

When your currency fails or you are invaded, if there is an earthquake, a flood, a hurricane, a mudslide, or any other disaster in your country, you all expect the US to come bail you out. yet when given the opportunity do you say thanks, do you provide assistance when we need it. No, you complain, you whine, and spout your America sucks crap. If we suck so much, don't ask us for our help, and stop immigrating to our country. Stop hocking your crappy merchandise to us, and leave us the heck alone. Another thing you can stop doing is flying airplanes into our buildings, and stay out of our way when want to defend ourselves. The War in Iraq would be over if we were not trying to please you sissies.

Because we were are Allies with some countries and when they are in a war we go to help them. Vietnam was a pointless war that we didn't need to get into, but the Democrats wanted us too. We were in the Iraq one because they started it from the beginning.

Osama bin Laden wouldn't have been involved in the recent events of 9/11 if Clinton didn't let him go free in the first place!

The reason the Americans have to stick their nose into these wars is to protect their financial investments. Usually they have big money coming from or going to the the major players in the war. Notice how they have very little interest in any of the wars in Africa ? The countries there are poor and the Americans don't need anything from them. It's all about money!!!!!

Speaking as a Canadian that is pushed around by the Americans daily !!! They are so full of themselves !!!!!

You forgot Korea and the cold war with Russia. We are a super power and for what is worth people expect us to help. But this last war in Iraq was the first time that we ever invaded a country with the express purpose to overthrow a government and that is just wrong.

Asinine question. At any time - look it up - there are dozens of wars going on all over the world. Okay, the US has been involved in a number of military actions (not all of them declared wars) in the last hundred years.

Actually, you're giving us a partial listing of some of the wars in US history. But either way, there are a lot more wars going on in this world in the last century than just the five you evidently know about.

Well, you've got a few facts that have gone AWOL, but it's because without the wars people would start thinking, and so the U.S. pays other governments, and "terrorist organizations" to stage attacks and the U.S. then takes action, based on what the American populace belives in. It's all propaganda and lies, fed to our citizens to make them belive in a "just cause" that should otherwise not be any of our business.

A large percentage of Americans, the citizenry of our great United States, are descendants of immigrants from all over the world consisting of adventurers, explorers, troublemakers, malcontents, rebels, interlopers, criminals, outcasts and eager ambitious rabble-rousers. Is it any surprise that America is a powerful nation that doesn't hesitate to go to war? It's our legacy.

That is not a true statement... there are wars all over the world that America is not part of.... Open your mind. Remember that what you see on TV and in the paper is not the only thing happening in this very large plant, we call earth.

Also Pobept - "The British drug us into world war two" We also gave you a language mate but you seem incapable of using it. I think the word you are looking for is "dragged" not "drug".

because america is a country built on fear and they really need to have an enemy to feel right ...since the cold war ended they have chosen the middle east ...just follow the money and you will see why they play in the sandbox ...is so transparent ...they always say they fight for freedom and its always about $$$$$$$$

it is the american way $$$$$+ fear+ religion = war...anyones war will do
