Go see a dermatologist because that sounds like Seborria Dermatitis. I have that and it is where the skin will produce oily/ scaly skin that itches and flakes off. If you can't go to the Dr. then get a shampoo like T-gel, Denorex or something with Salicylic acid in it.

You could use a mixture of whole egg and curd and massage on your head, wash off after an hour.

You could also use snake oil, this is available at the Lush Stores, they also have an effective anti dandruff shampoo bar.

Try iy out.

Selsun Blue and Head and Shoulders are the best. Equate Dandruff Shampoo is the knockoff of those and quite a bit cheaper, but works just as well. (You can buy it at Wal-Mart.)

I always used it until the last bottle of shampoo I bought. I got something that smelled "pretty," but it leaves my hair feeling icky. So I'm going back to my Equate Dandruff Shampoo now.

P.S. Even if you don't have dandruff, this shampoo is just great for making your whole head very VERY CLEAN, especially when compared to the feeling that comes from those overly-fragranced shampoos.

There is a shampoo called tee tree (has tee tree oil and menthol in it) makes your hair absolutely feel clean, reduces dandruff and leaves your scalp feeling cool.

You can get it at any Regis beauty salon. Regis salons are many times found at Wal-Mart Supercenters. Cost is about $30.00 for a 40oz bottle.

Do not use over the counter product such as head and shoulders. They are very high in pH and will damage your hair. Use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree it is very invigorating and cleanses your scalp without drying it. What most people do is use great cleaners such as tea tree and then use knock-offs as their stying tools. This is a no-no!!!
