Yes. You don't have to do a whole week . You can do three days,1/2 days.
It makes such a difference in their learning abilities. You can tell when you child goes into Kindergarten the diiference between the children that went and didn't go
It helps socialize them as well and gives you a little break :)

Yes if you want to. Some kids have trouble adjusting to new situation the soon you get her enrolled in preschool the better. It's hard for a preschool teacher to have a bunch of 4 year olds that don't know the school routine and have behavior problems to get them to cooperate sometimes. So 2 1/2 is a good year to start preschool this way problems are nip in the bud and the child will be much more comfortable when he or she start kindergarten. Also issues such as seperation aniexty can be dealt with this age too. In some schools kindergarten teachers don't have the time to comfort a child that well cry and cry all day asking for mommy or granny depending on who takes care of the child. Also by placing your child in pre-school now she will make friends and bond with kids who might go to the same kindergartin as her one day. So that's the important things to consider when deciding to place your child in a preschool.

As an Early Childhood Educator who is also Preschool Directr at a daycare, I say wait until she is 3-31/2 years old. I see so many problems in my class of 3-41/2 year olds. If they are too young, they will have to stay in preschool for 2 years, and then they will get bored and act out. Children learn at different rates, but 21/2 year olds cannot sit for half an hour to get through circle time (which is the group learning time).
As for Montessori, I agree that starting children early on some things is great. However, you cannot have a completley structured day without someone getting burned out. The children need to have free play, not just structured activities. The montessori programs that I have seen were lacking free play and free craft time, which are two programs that help to develop creative thinking skills and problem solving skills.
I would suggest to either wait until your child is 3-31/2 years old, or send him/her to a play group or daycare center for positive interactions.

First we have to think what is better consider the kid abilities and knowledge because the kid are going to share with others kid that sometimes are very smart and sometimes it can bring problem with our kids. The care that the kid most need, what the kid know by her self and a lot of think that we like parents have to consider. Is good because it might learn how to interact with others, how to share with other kids but is in the parents hands what really we want an how you consider your kid to interact with other, is the kid is ready .

No, give her another year! you're only a kid once and there is a lot of life spent in school. Instead take her to play groups and the park and let her be a kid! She has plenty of time for school, and all it would be now is socialization which you can get from a lot of other sources!

i have worked in a nursery and honestly, sending them at this age does not do them any harm, altough sending thenm five days a week all day is too much. it gives them the chance to practice thier social intercation, altough they are quite often not at a stage of play where they can talk freely to thier peers, do not force this on your child, you will soon know if she is ready. Do not be put off by her crying on the first few days as all she has known is her mum or dads care.

No, wait until your child at least 4 . A two year old should be spending time being read to, playing and helping at home with simple chores, etc. If you want her/him to socialize, take him to the playground often and library activities like reading sessions, etc. Why rush "school" on them, when developmentally they are not ready for it?

According to Montessori philosophy, she's a prime age. Take a look on line for the history of Montessori education and then look for a good school. They are often located on Church grounds within your community. Good Luck.
