I remember that Canon used to provide that option with its scanners. I have new equipment now and can't get that feature up and running. It saves tons of paper around our office.

I have a Canon also and had trouble getting the PDF save feature to work. If there are other peripherals plugged in that use USB ports it can cause the scanner not to work. I unplugged my webcam and the scanner worked to save as a PDF. There are other programs that do this but the one that comes with the Canon is pretty good.

I use PDF 995 all the time to do exactlty what you asked. It is useful for printing receipts/confirmations etc which you do not need when the item is delivered.

The free versions pops up an ad but that is not a big problem.

You need Adobe, then go into your printers folder and create a printer for Adobe PDF, then when you print documents select the Adobe PDF printer option, and it lets you print it to a file.

Never heard of that one. You'd have to convert the document into a .pdf by using Acrobat Pro to save it as a .pdf. I use Acrobat Pro myself.

in case you do not have photoshop, the quick and grimy way i could do it truly is to have the pdf open on the reveal screen then press the "PrtScn" or "Print reveal screen" button. What this does is takes a reveal screen shot of the entire seen reveal unit. Then open Microsoft Paint and good click the sparkling white section. Use Paste and it will instruct your photograph. then you truly can keep it from there. desire that helps.
