Yes - and when they say who for, say it is for, give the name of the garage! Then explain it is a joke and then say what you really do. Women will find the job description amusing - and it could be an inroad!

(a number of years ago, my father got into trouble when he flew to the US carrying a briefcase full of rivets. When the Customs Officer asked him what he was carrying, my Dad said he was into screwing. He was told off for making the customs officer laugh!)

My job is pumping up tires at the garage. To impress the ladies shall I say I control an airline?

Yes you can do that , you would not be lying.........you are.in reality -- controlling an airline.

Tell her it is not easy controlling an airline--with inflation up---like it is.
Tell her if she hitches her star on to yours---you can promise she will never tire of you.

No! because if you end up getting serious with this person then you will have to maintain a lie. Its easy to tell a lie but an alltogether different matter to maintain it. Then you will have to make up some story as to why you are not working at the airline. I would suggest looking for new employment. I didnt realize people still paid people to pump air into tires. Good luck

No. A girl wouldn't be impressed when she found out the whole thing was based on a lie. Maybe you should just "improve" your job a bit. Something that sounds a bit more interesting but is still what you do. Oh Mr. mattbirt2003, how would you know what would impress a girl more?

Sure, you're largest concern is inflation, and you feel that you really improve efficiency on everything you work on. In fact, you're working to reduce wasted fuel.
Then tell her that people would really have a hard time keeping things rolling without you.
If that all doesn't impress her, tell her you are pretty experienced handling hose. That gets even the most hard to impress ladies. they like a man in control of the situation.

I think what would work much better would be to tell them that you are only doing that until you finish your degree or whatever!

I suspect that the average women would notice the difference between the two types of people and would therefore be very distrustful of you.

I would go with being honest.

If the fundamental problem is that you are ashamed of what you do - figure out a way to do something better. . . . .

No.

Or of course you once you start talking to a woman and mention this airline, any woman will want to see and importantly experience your "wealth" from owning an airline.

What then?

Say all your money is tied up in Jumbos and you can't get at it until Dumbo comes back from his holiday...

Don't do it..step away from the pun.

It doesn't impress me when people try to talk up their jobs. Take an electician for instance is now called and Electrical Engineer. Only people with Engineering degrees should be called Engineers! So, no, it won't work, don't bother.

let's say you BS to impress a woman. this BS changes your natural behavior. now you find someone you really like but she is only use to your BS persona. it's gonna be hard to slip into your regular person.... Just be yourself if you have to BS to impress a woman she's not worth it. Believe you are good enough just the way you are, self esteem is built from the inside and not by how others see you. be yourself and your true self will shine through. and you will be liked just for you.
