Light breakfast like a banana or other fruit if you decide to eat before running. Always drink water 30-minutes to 1 hour before the rune and after. During the run you should not drink as it will weigh you down. If you bring water slosh it around for a second then spit it out. This way you get some refreshment and can continue with little weight added.
Take it from a Marine....
NEVER DRINK A SHAKEb or MILK..... it is way to $$$$ thick.

They say it is best to have an empty stomach while exercising. So I suggest running first than having something to eat.
Cut out fat and sugar as much as possible. Instead of drinking pop try water. Also they say five little meals are better than three spread out. Make sure the last thing you eat is at like 8 or 9 pm. Always make sure to eat something for breakfast. I usually not a breakfast eater but for two weeks I made sure to each breakfast. It was something small but in those two weeks I lost five pounds.

I dont think befor or after makes a difference. You should eat something and drink a big glass of water as soon as you get up, to jump start your metabolism. If you get a good work out in you are not going to want to eat. I have had reall good sucess with Awareness Life - PURETRIM Mediterranean Wellness Shakes. These are the best on the market!

You really shouldn't have much in your stomach before you begin. Cut out simple carbs. Unless you are running a LOT - then you will need some complex carbs.

A banana before you run will give you some energy. Oats and pasta will give you a slow release of energy so relieving hunger and giving you carbs in a healthy form.avoid refined food!

i think you should eat after your morning workout..maybe around half an hour after.ummm just eat food with high nutrirional value.. maybe a glass of hi-calcium milk and wholemeal bread will do.or salad and fruit juice if you prefer fruits and veggies.try not to eat fried stuffs though.
good luck!
