I let my aunt do my hair last night.. She stripped it then dyed it blonde. It is all yellow and looks horrible.. If i buy a darker shade of blonde, will that fix it?

Well, color does not remove color, but there is a way to do it.
Go to Sally Beauty Supply and select the shade of blonde you want but make sure it has a violet base. This will neutralize the yellow tones you are experiencing. You will also need Instant Whip and 40 volume developer.
Mix 2 oz of color, 2 oz of developer and 1/2 oz instant whip. Apply to the hair and process for 35 minutes. The yellow will be gone.

Tomato ketchup! Yes, i know it sounds weird, but it works! I have used it many times before.. Also, you could wash your hair with detergent used for washing clothes. It helps to strip the colour a little and get rid of the yellow "light bulb" look.. Both are a lot cheaper than going and getting it fixed in a hairdressers. With either of the two, leave it on for a few mins then rinse. Just make sure that you shampoo them out after, then use a really good conditioner or treatment.

Yes, you can fix it! start by getting a good deep conditioner to restore a little softness to your hair, use a color deposit only hair color (they last only for about 4 to 6 weeks). The deposit only hair color will not fry your hair and will allow you to condition your hair for a few weeks before you use a permanent hair color. Remember that your hair will be porous so use a hair color a little lighter than you want to get the proper result. Wash your hair every other day to avoid braking! To help with the freezes use "infusion 23" leave in treatment and you are done!....Smile

No. Unfortunately you have learned a valuable lesson and one that will stay with you for life. I strongly urge you to go to someone in your area who is really good with color and have her/him fix the problem. Otherwise you could damage your hair more and it will take a LOT more time to grow out. I am sorry for your mishap. When making drastic changes it's best to leave it to the experts. Good luck.

You could use some blue hair dye if you want it to turn green. (I've intentionally done that before...)
