I think he is still fishing to see if you are interested, not because he want something real but because it makes him feel better about himself if he gets a response from you. (As in, cool, she's still got a thing for me!) He is probably not even doing it consciously or intentionally, just one of those things some people do as they are growing up.

I hate to admit it, but I have done the same thing in the past and have definitely had a few girls do it to me too. If you are interested in rekindling the relationship, be blunt with him.

If you are just not interested, stop all contact with him. Delete the text messages, emails, voicemails, etc without reading or listening. Eventually he will get the hint that you are tired of playing this little game with him.

If you are looking to rekindle the relationship or possibly build a friendship, ask him bluntly what it is that he is looking for from you. What are his intentions and the purpose of contacting you. Ask direct questions that do not leave room for vague answers such as: "Why are you sending me text messages?", "What are you looking for from me?"

Convenience. You are familiar, he knows what tricks he can and can't pull, knows how you react to him, and knows how to keep you guessing. Either one up him on his game (and get him to commit) or cut all ties with him, I had an ex like that. I left him last year and it gave me a chance to meet the man of my dreams. If you don't feel completed by this person, I say move on.

Sound like he wants to play some games with you, or maybehe is really that lonely and is really missing you. Text him back and ask him what the hell do u want. or tell him you have a BF now just to see what he says and how he reacts. That will tell you his status!!

He's probably is just testing to see if he CAN get you back...trust me, it's all a game. If you are truly over him, tell him to stop texting. If you still want to get back with him, don't let him know that. The more you act like you DON'T want him, the more he'll want you. See where it takes you.

well to me it sounds like he wants you back. No really i think he wants you back it sounds like one of my past relationships. If he wasn't ready back then i still think he is not ready today. Just be nice and don't make him think that you like him. well maybe he could could have changed but you would really need to talk to him. But yea he wants you back.****()****

Maybe he still wants you in his life till he figures out what he really wants - so it sounds pretty selfish to me.

Maybe he's feeling bad about how he treated you and realized he messed up a good thing. Good luck!
