Top Ten things that I have learned about myself on Yahoo Answers.
Number 10.…..That I should not have dropped out of Logic 101 in college.
Number 9.….That when I’m wrong, I need to make right.
Number 8.….When I’m wronged I try to get even. (see answer # 9).
Number 7.….I am wasting my time defending a literal belief and practice in the Bible that no other Christian on this site takes seriously (forsake all, live the Sermon on the Mount, etc.)
Number 6.….The amount of spiritual energy I spend on things that have no eternal value is measurable, meaningful and forever lost.
Number 5.…That when I think I’m right , I usually get longwinded in my response, the righter I is, the longer I right and rant and write.
Number 4.….My long winded answers only prove the amount of hot air that I have, not the wisdom, intelligence and spirituality that I thought it indicated.
Number 3.…My beliefs are often shallow, regurgitated facts I had been once told, but was too lazy to search out on my own.
Number 2.… How vain I am.
And the Number One thing I have learned about myself on Yahoo Answers … That I need to spend more time with Messiah, and much less on Answers.

I've learned that I still have anger issues. I see someone being rude or cruel to someone I care for and I get upset and want to do damage. I thought I was passed that but in my normal life this isn't really a problem but here people allow themselves to behave in a way that would not be acceptable in their everyday lives. I've learned that I can be friends with a guy and not have to worry about them saying or doing things that would be inappropriate. I've learned that I don't know everything about every beliefs system. So I am not perfect, I knew that before I started here but that is why I came. To learn and grow and try to improve myself. I am actually going to write a letter to a person that I have been angry with lately and apologize for some nasty things I have said about them. Just because they would choose to be rude doesn't mean I have to follow them. Maybe if I set a better example they will learn from it.

I realized that I am not as knowledgeable in my faith when a question is being asked. I am thankful for room to grow in every realm of beliefs. I didn't know that so many people didn't believe in God. I didn't know that so many people don't believe the concept of adaption or evolution. I've learned that some people who believe in God are really using him as a crutch which is very sad when christians do this. The bible is not used for what it is. I wil have give a good gentle answer to turn away wrath. I also have studied christianity's history and my beliefs have changed but I do still believe in God.

1) There are "evangelizing" atheists (as much as I dislike that concept). Live and let live. I won't do that, tho.

2) Some christians and muslims do not evangelize at all. :-)

3) Some christians/muslims are downright cool kats! ;-)

4) Learned how to heal even further from "old hurts" by past christians who evangelized a bit too "hard" on me.

5) Still learning how to "live-let-live" on others' beliefs (theist or otherwise). Life's too short.

It's funny... Now that I read your answer I realized that I learned a lot.
I've learned that even the most simple question to us may look stupid to others and that, instead of helping us, one chooses to mock us.
I've also learned that my English can be misunderstood and I can offend others unintentionally.
I've learned that there aren't such things as the perfect answers, but, most of all, I come to assure myself that some of the questions I can't answer really have no answer.

That an argument for the sake of argument means nothing if it is with an idiot.

That sometimes people ask questions seeking only edification of their current beliefs.

That there are far better uses of time than answering questions for those who didn't really understand the implications of asking them in the first place.

I must be more patient. I often get f**ked up by stupid answers or questions and I would always love to report them, but I never do. Not even the abusing ones. I need to be more patient to accept that there are other opinions as well.
Even if I know I’m always right LOL

That 100million Americans believing in Creationism is too too many, today's science and evidence needs to be taught as the truth to these people who incredibly still believe the world is only 8,000 years old.
