I would love to find a great steak burrito place where they grill the steak. The best I've found so far is Arturo's in Bridgeview/Burbank, IL.
I'm looking for a decent thin crust pizza, where they sell slices too.

Thanks Merlot, know all about that area. Just recently moved from 63rd and Harlem, so been there, done that. I will check out some of the places mentioned in the 'burbs, but the bad thing is that everyone has their own definition of "good." I want to make sure that the steak for the burritos is grilled, and is real steak and not just hamburger. : )

Also willing to look at areas like Romeoville, Aurora, Naperville, Lockport, Lemont and Bolingbrook.

For steak burritos try La Mex. It's a nice restaurant with great food! It's on the corner of Rt. 52 (Jefferson St.) and Essington Rd in Joliet.

The pizza is great at Joe's Dug Out (Cemeno's) on Essington Rd. in Joliet. or at Maurey's Table on Glenwood.

The answer above mine is correct. Try LaMex or there is a great lil resturant in Minooka (just a tad further than Joliet) called Ruby Burritos. They are like 4 bucks and awesome, not to mention HUGE! Funny as it seems...also in Minooka is a gas Station called Casey's. They have an awesome pizza! They sell it by the slice as well but when an entire pizza is only 8-10 bucks why do that!? I know is sounds crazy, pizza from a gas station but it is good. Otherwise, Cemeno's is great too, just more expensive.

You need to come on down to Chicago, or rather the near Western Suburbs like Bellwood there is this place called Taco Patio, it's really good and they fix your food the way you ask, the prices are alright, it's not cheap but, it is worth it.
My family eats there all the time, friendly people, same owners since they opened almost 20 years ago.

Yes the steak is Steak at this place and it also is grilled, you can actually see it being cooked and the owner is there most of the time to answer any questions you may have.
It's a really cool place... Busy also.

What's up with Homer Glen? The suburbs know NOTHING about pizza or mexican. That's why evreything is Taco Bell and Pizza Hut out there!!!
OK for good mexican, head to ANY place on 63rd Street between Cicero and Harlem. No farther east. It gets a little shady.

Pizza? The BEST is Just-a-Pizza on Archer near Pulaski. A bit far for you, but hey if you are heading over to Bridgeview, it's not that much farther. Cheap pizza and they load it up!!! Plus you get that Chicago neighborhood pizza place thing: free 2liter RC cola!!!! I think the place is take out only though. Hell eat it in the car!!! It's worth it!! I promise!!!!!!!!

I used to live in Homer Glen but now in Daytona Beach. My favorite thin crust was from Pizza Mia on Bell Road in Homer Glen. Its just north of 143rd and Bell in a little strip mall. I think its still there.

Merlot obviously doesnt know what she's talking about. The burbs have great pizza places and good mexican. If youve never tried it then dont knock it!!
