This is a question that is best directed to a lawyer in your state, as child support matters vary from state to state. Generally, the answer is no if they are formally stripped of parental rights (not just given less visitation or even barred from visitation altogether, but completely and formally stripped of their rights in a court of law). Normally, a court will not strip a parent of their rights unless there is another person willing to step in and fill that gap by formally adopting the child, but there are instances where in extreme circumstances the court will do so. Those circumstances are rare, though. If, however, their rights are formally removed in a court of law, that individual will no longer be responsible for child support, either, at least in cases that I know of.

Again, this varies from state to state, and sometimes from area to area. This question is best directed to a lawyer in your area. Most will give an initial consultation for free or for very little. Good luck to you.
