One, facts ! ?! The authors of the book that Dan Brown got the idea from " Holy Blood, Holy Grail " themselves say that what they proposed in " Holy Blood, Holy Grail " were not facts, just one possibility of what might have happened. There are no facts that prove that Jesus had any children, other than the characteristics of human nature.
I just don't get it. Why is there all this fuss over this book ? It's no different than " Gone With the Wind ". No one wondered if Tara is still standing now or where Rhett Butler is buried ?

No, I don't. In a recent interview with Dan Brown, the reader's digest said that he even stated that the only things that were real were the paintings and works of art. Pretty well everything else was conjured up from his head. But a good piece of fiction that has stirred up a lot of controversy and had people question what they have learned. Makes you stand up if you truly believe.
On page 122 of the Reader's Digest it says, "All descriptions of artwork, architecture, documents and secret rituals in this novel are accurate." It never says anything about the supposition that Christ had progeny nor that there is an actual accounting of him having a spouse. He just had fun spinning a tale of intrigue. Further, people who have been touring the Louvre are disappointed to discover that there is no window, from which the hero 'jumps' 12 meters, in the men's bathroom.

Nah, I don't think most of it is true. The Gnostic gospels are around and some people have been following them for hundreds of years. Do I think there is a big church conspiracy to hide the truth about Jesus? No I don't think that at all. And like the other people said, the author has stated that it is fiction with small little facts peppered throughout the book. He wove fact with fiction and got a great book. But it's just fiction

To paraphrase Leigh Teabing in "The Da Vinci Code": The Bible replace into no longer faxed by making use of God from Heaven to Earth. this is a actuality. It replace into written by making use of guys, edited by making use of guys, translated by making use of guys, and is interpreted by making use of guys. There are areas of the Bible that have been contradicted and/or shown to be very much exaggerated. "The Da Vinci Code" has under no circumstances been referred to as something yet a artwork of fiction, yet most of the suggestions are in keeping with truly theories. i'm a Christian, and that i save on with the training of Christ, yet i'm additionally open to the prospect that there is extra to the story than what we are informed interior the Bible.

The only people who believe in the work of fiction and active imagination are those who have fragile faith. Come on, the author used the paintings, sculptures, museums, locations, churches and organizations in order to make the book intriguing and interesting but not to lay facts that what is written in the novel is true. If you must read again, then do it but if you haven't read it, it would be best for you to read it first.

This book is sold in the Fiction Section. It is an account of a possibility. It is possible that Jesus was married. Contrary to Christian beliefs He always had women around Him, had women disciples and listened to what women had to say. Unlike the men who wrote the Bible, He never feared women. This subservient nonsense was not the word of God or Jesus. So it is possible. But boy do the churches get crazy when a thought undermines their doctrine.

Try this experiment
Go to your library, walk to the non-fiction section and request the Da Vinci code. Notice they direct you to the fiction section. Ask them what fiction means.

Some people do unfortunately but the Bible speaks about the deadly delusions that will come and if it were possible even the very elect would be decieved. The devil is trying to disprove the divinity of Jesus, that he existed, or that he cares. The devil is a liar and we should stick to the Bible truth.
