I've lost almost 5 stone on the Slimming World diet and it works great for me.
If you have a big appetite, then Slimming World is the diet for you. You count your "sins" out of your allowance every day, you have one or two dairy choices and two choices from another bunch of food that provides your daily intake of fibre and then depending on what day you choose to do, as much as you want to eat of either meat, or pasta. Not only that but all your fruit and veg is limitless so you never have to hungry. For example, if I'm still hungry after my chicken and veg dinner, i can go and help myself to another plate, without counting any calories or anything. And I 'll still lose weight.
Even fruit and veg on Weight Watchers have points value! Which is silly really!!
Slimming World is the way to go - I'm not saying its easy because no diet is easy, and I did combine my food optimising with regular exercise, but its certainly made me look at food in a totally different way and has done wonders for the way I looks and feel.

I went to WW and lost a stone and a half in 9 weeks. Great results, however it all comes back on with a bit extra if you don't maintain it! A sensible healthly diet you can maintain in the long term (ie. forever!) with regular exercise is the best way to get it off and keep it off!
I stick to a lowish calorie, healthy diet (and exercise program) and allow myself 1 cheat day each week, when I can eat what I want but no binging! This way I am losing weight and staying sane!

Well, I just looked up Slimming World, and it looks good (brief cursory look). I have had much success with Weight Watchers. I think since they both promote healthy eating and offer support you can't go wrong. imho

I prefer ww. However, it really depens on whether you like to cook, are a big meat eater, or just a big eater like me!
ww generally concentrates on either a) limiting what you eat by counting the points (so you decide whether you want to eat 8 apples or 1 hamburger).
or b) eating a limited list of foods til you're comfortably full and having a small "treats" allowance
slimming world divides days into green or red days and i think is better if you are able to cook. its like ww b) in that you can eat howevermuch you want from certain foods. green days concentrate on pasta, rice and veg while red days are more geared towards eating meats.
It's really a personal choice tho
Whichever one you choose, be sure to attend the meetings as its a great help, and good luck!!!

Don't waste your money. If you really want to lose weight it's easy to do on you own. Do a little research on the web so you better understand how weight loss works and go for it.
Lost 2st by doing a bit of exercise and drinking a glass of water when I first felt hungry. (going out to exercise helped two-fold. If I was at the gym I wasn't at home with the fridge!!)
