call your local police and ask for some one to come on out to your house so you can show them your paper work and make sure they know that the other person has left the building
and so they can put them in for a missing sexual offender, because they are supposed to tell them before them move where they are moving to and then re-register when they get there.
so make the telephone call first thing and ask them to send some one out to verify that the sexual offender does not live there any more..
smile
good luck
and
God Bless

You looking like sex offenders is not the big issue. The big issue is that the last owner has not reregistered. I would call the local police department and let them know. You probably have the last owners name because it's on all the paperwork.

Not knowing where you live so I can look up the local website for your county, I recommend you Google your city, county, and state, and possibly include terms like "sex offender," real estate, property title, etc. Then find the phone number and call it, or the address and go there (together with your co-buyer).
Good luck!

Contact your realtor if you used one. Otherwise, send a letter to him at your address, and hopefully it gets forwarded to his new address? Perhaps even contact the police. This may mean that though he has moved, he has not filed his address change with the appropriate authorities.
GOOD CATCH!

I would try calling the Sheriff's office (non-emergency number) of the county you bought your house in, if they can't help you they can probably tell you who can.
