How do I downgrade the voltage on my 6V battery?

I purchased a 6V battery from Radio Shack for my Gas RC starter. The problem is I should be using a 1.5 volt battery instead. Does anyone know the calculation or resitor required to complete this? Thanks!

you need to get a power panel it has a regulator to bring down the voltage
