I don't think I'm "sick". Supposedly we tortured terrorists by making them form a pyramid naked. I think America needs to know what we're up against. The terrorists are the sick ones. The koran says to behead infidels, cut off their fingers and toes (8:12). These sick muslims are just following their religion.

spcwright,
Yes I'm American. I don't need to be "radicalized", I already am. But I want to be able to tell the "touchy feely can't we just get along" liberals what these animals are doing. I'm really fed up with the way our so-called abuses of terrorist prisoners is compared with what these bastards are doing.

I think she has a very valid point. We are accused of attrocities, and people say we need to get out, everyone in the world looks down on us for it, yet when something like this happens we hear very little about it. However there are reasons that we should not know.
1. It could cause issues with the troops, some troops would be completely demoralized, some troops would go completely the other way and there could be numerous revenge killings, and torture.
2. It could cause racial tensions here at home, I don't agree with all the PC crap, but it in this case people would look at the muslim community in a totally different way.
3. The most important reason, The families are dealing with enough, I do not know how much information they will be given, however our media would bring it up continously with stupid questions that would continuously remind them of the atrocities.
This is the type of behaviour we are trying to eliminate, and shedding light on how barbaric these animals are is important, it might remind people what we are doing there, appearantly people have forgotten they type of scum we are fighting. She is courious and concerned, so there is no reason to put her down for it.

The reason the details haven't been released is because these men have families. When someone you love dies you don't ever want to know that he suffered in any way. You wish it was quick and painless, not long and drawn out via torture. And you definitely don't want the details. Have some compassion for the families. I KNOW the killers didn't, but we're Americans and we are above them, right?
I agree that maybe those details could be given out, but in a way that the victims can't be identified. Maybe as a generic report sometime in the future saying "These mutilations have been documented...." which takes into account all the hostages who have been taken and killed, not just these 2 men. Then the families can all pretend it was someone else's son who was disemboweled or whatever.

At this time they aren't releasing too many details. The only thing I've heard about it so far is that they were found dead and that they were obviously tortured. Visual identification was impossible and they had to do a DNA test to find out who they were.Their bodies were rigged with booby traps as was the path leading to the bodies.

You probably won't get details for a long time. They are barbaric people. Anyone who would strap bombs and sh@t around their bodies to kill more troops. My only hope is they suffer the same way those men suffered when they die. It is sad that we can't show them the same Courtesy as they show us in war.

I don’t understand why you would be interested in such details, particularly at this early period. Publicly announcing such details would be very hard on the families. In time such information will become public and for now (it seems to me) it is enough to know that it has occurred.
