Firstly approach the dentist in writing to see if he/she can resolve the issue. If not, then write a formal complaint to the practice manager and say that you will make a complaint of serious professional misconduct to the GDC (General Dental Council) based in Wimpole st, London if the matter is not resolved. See my website for further details on the procedure. http://www.personalinjuryplus.co.uk

The American Dental Association, "ADA" regulates laws that must be followed. Unfortunately there is no law that states that a dentist or doctor for that fact must have a good 'bedside manner' so to speak. It is not what qualifies or disqualifies them as good doctors. If you do not like her disposition, you should probably find someone else. Call the ADA and ask for a list of local dentist that are accepting new patients and move on.

If it's an NHS dentist (if you're that lucky), then complain to your Primary Care Trust - your local hospital will have contact details.

you can report your dentist to your state dental association. it has to be something pretty serious though. if the dentist was just rude to you or it hurt while you were there or after the appointment, then no one is going to listen to you. if you have permanent numbness or the dentist felt you up or something then that's serious.

what did your dentist do to make you report him?
