You sleep too little. 8 hours a day is a normal sleep amount. People, who say they manage with only 5 hours or so, appear to be more edgier and crankier than the rest of us.
About the alarm clock, use several and with a different tones. Dont go for the electric ones, they are like mousewhisperers.

i have no idea what the cause of that could be, but i can tell you that there MUST definetly be a soltution for that. im a night owl, not even close to an early bird, so i also tend to have more difficutly waking up in the morning than usual. while i ve heard of thousands of people who can easily wake themseleves up at 7 am. and ive asked how? one time my bf told me that he simply thought the night before, 'im waking up at ....' in his mind and the next morning he woke up at that very time he said he would the night before. so i actually began trying that and it has worked, not all tthe time, but sometimes yes. its a matter of concentration and almost like meditation, process in your mind that you are going to wake up at this certain hour the next day and your set.
if that doesnt, work, i would make up some type of alarm clock that doesnt make any sound but automatically flips a button and makes a bucket of water splash on my face, the only way to wak up! works best in the summer.
long long time ago i created my own 'water bed'. i filled up about 300 small water balloons with cold icy water and taped one by one to my bed leaving the middle part empty making about 3 layers of these waterballoons. it lasted for about 3 weeks and every night two to three would pop! but it was nice! since it was all durning a super hot summer years ago!

Exercise and take vitamins. If you take melatonin before you go to bed that might help. Especially if you have an unusual sleep pattern. If you are a teenager it's normal for you to have difficulty waking up because at that age you experience what is called "slow wave" sleep and you'll grow out of that.

Try putting your alarm clock at the other end of the room so you have to get out of bed to turn it off. You might want to go to a doctor as well.
