I'm an LDS (mormon), I live in Romania, Europe, but I'm denied to go in Utah, which is mormon state. What I must do to? The USA embassy want $100 only for interview, to said me NO, you can't go in USA. If a Jew can visit Jerusalem, a Mormon why cant visit Utah?

I think unfortunately that the US government takes a cynical view that people sometimes become Mormons because of that US connection. I've heard of things like that actually happening here in Poland...

Anyway, the US immigration people are legally required to assume that everyone who applies for a visa to the States is trying to emigrate, so that if you want to get a non-immigrant visa, you have to be able to prove that you are going to go home when your time is up.

And the thing about the Temple is that there are other temples around the world, so that you don't HAVE to go to the one in Utah to fulfill the requirements of your religion, so that's another reason they don't feel any obligation to help you out...

I just visited Romania last year.

It can be difficult to get a visa to visit America. I assure you that it has nothing to do with religion, either way. The main thing the immigration authorities are looking for is evidence that you will not try to stay in America illegally. They want you to show them that you have every intention and reason to return to Romania. The truth is that once you are here it is really hard to find you and send you back, so they want to be sure you want to go back. Unfortunately, many people do want to stay in America. This is especially true if you are a young, marriageable female.

Probably because America has no national religion, and there are no state-wide religions either. If Utah becomes as important to all Mormans (and if there are a lot more) as Mecca is to Muslims, sure you could go. Also, Jerusalem is in Israel, pretty much (disputed territory, but they have the Western support) which has a national religion.

actually Utah is not a Mormon State and they build temples Everywhere in the world, Utah is not considered Holy ground to the LDS if you will. and that's why... you should visit a temple in your area, but if you do come to the US there are many beautiful LDS temples including the one in Utah, I like the picture I saw of the one in new zealand personally .

I don't know, that's awful that they won't let you visit. Try going through your own government, and not the US embassy. Maybe that will help. But even if you can't come anytime soon, it is great to have strong and willing members in Romania. Do your best to help spread the Gospel. God Bless.

There are a number of things going on. What you are looking at is national immigration rules. That has to do with what country you live in - not what faith you belong to.
Israel also has visa requirements for visitors.
