an emo is a person who is depressed and want to cut their wrists make sure your daughter does not cut her wrists!!! or do anything stupid! the problem might be at school or at home spend more quality time with her and find out more about her and tell her that she can trust you to share her problems with! my sister is an emo and she just wears some clothes that are black and things but she is fine!!

Emo is closely associated with cutting, so watch out for that. But it has evolved, I think, mostly into a bunch of kids who really love their originality and think of themselves as deep and misunderstood. They listen to sad music and dress in dark colors and alot of times wear their hair in their face. I think it's a phase. My son has started wearing clothing with colors now!

Kids that buy most of their clothes at Hot Topic and the rest at yard sales, or thrift stores, and like crappy whiney "emotional" music cuz they're so deep and misunderstood. They also usually have long hair that looks like it was cut with a lawnmower by a blind person with Tourette's.
