It's not the loosing that is harmful to your health. It's the increase in blood pressure that occurs while your are stressed and angry. Now this may not have direct impact on your health right now but it can weaken the heart. Over time (like any other muscle) the heart muscles are going to grow week from this increase in blood pressure.
The greatest amount of damage to the heart comes from the sudden, rapid increase heart rate and blood pressure. When you exercise, it works the heart over the length of the time your exercising. When stressors occur (such as you're describing) it's like turning on or off a water faucet very quickly. When you shut off the water rapidly, you hear the water lines bounce around. The same thing happens with your heart and blood vessels. It's the sudden increase, relax, sudden increase, relax, that can cause damage.
This form of heart damage can cause problems over time but unless you already have heart problems or a family history of heart problems, it's probably not going to contribute to heart problems in any major way.
Other then the Blood pressure, it's not all that harmful.
Care to play a hand and give me your money?!?

If you can't handle a bad beat, you shouldn't play poker. Period. It's bad for your wallet.
As for your health, it's no more harmful than any other stressful situation.
What I do, after a bad beat, is play the next hand as if the bad beat hadn't happened, but if I find myself with good cards, I'll act wreckless. In a 1-2 NL game last month, it worked like a charm. I managed to bluff this other guy into going all in for $300, while he thinks I'm just mad at the previous hand, but I was sitting on the top full house.

It is bad for your health and for your poker playing. Getting upset over bad beats is causing you to go on tilt and lose more.
