Dont listen to the others To be safe (if they are taking urine or blood only) wait 30 days if your a light smoker it should leave your system faster than that when drinking a lot of water but give yourself 30 days. As far as the hair strand test, that goes back at least a year. Good Luck with that, make sure your drinking LOTS of water.

How do you actually "clean" your urine?..... run it through a water purifier??
If you mean "clear", 6 months at least!
If you want to get through this, go to a surgical supply store and by a urinary drainage bag. Have someone that is clean (and not pregnant) and get them to put some in the bag. Put it in your pants and when it's time to fill the container provided, fill the conatiner with the other's urine.
Tommy Chong provided this kind of thing on the internet before he was busted.

Marijuanna stays in your system for quite some time. If you are not a frequent user, you have nothing to worry about. The body produces the same chemical they test for with Marijuanna. Depending upon a persons use then the higher the amount in your body the worst it is for the user. If the tester does a dip test and it comes up positive, request they send the sample into a lab if you are not a frequent user. But my best advice is don't use illegal drugs because eventually they will mess your mind up.

i agree with the 30 days answers....
but here's something that you should know.
if you are a heavy smoker, the chemical is stored in fat cells. even if you quit smoking for several months, if you are actively losing weight/body fat when the test is administered, you may show positive. the chemical is in your urine as the contaminated fat cells are used by the body.

When we were at school, we were told it had a half-life of 6 months. So it's half as strong in your body after 6 months and then half again of that 6 months afterwards. To be honest, though, I think they were just trying to scare us.
I reckon 4 months or so.

I heard 30 days, thats why people on probation dont do it anymore, they switched to alcohol. LOL
