I refuse to give out my home address.
I mean, I got a letter from the bank last week - they know where I live!
And the phone company sent me an account yesterday - they know my address and my phone number!
I am worried and from now on I refuse to give out my number or address. I have tried, struggled and fought to have my address removed from the bank / phone companies records but they refuse.

Umm.. yes u are paranoid. This is required in order to have a phone and bank account. Now days, i would be more worried about my social security number getting out too much!!

Just a little. It's okay to be paranoid about giving out your SSN or something. You should call all of the company's that you do business with and request to OPT OUT of their Privacy Policy. I used to work for CHASE/BANKONE and I worked specifically with the Privacy Policy. This will ensure that they do not sell your information to anyone. The only time your info will be given out is in legally binding circumstances. (credit bureau, IRS, etc.) Hope I Helped... -a-

ya u do a bit hun!! like its normal to b weary about givin it out to ppl uv just met, but i tink its fair to say banks and phine companys can b trusted!! and of course ur phone company is gonna no ure phone number. and how else r they suppose to give u ure bills!!??

They can find your address and number somehow throu all the paper work you have done to get your house and other things too. They just want to do a little advertising to try and get some more money, try and get you to take one of their charge cards. I dunno, but somehow they get your address and number.
