Church is considered very pure and clean a place.
sexual thoughts are not encouraged there.
Its considered tat when a lady covers her hair she does not look sexy and hence does not give provocative thoughts in mens minds so they can concentrate on the mass rather than the gals.
But its all part of a tradition.Ppl who created these traditions never thought tat gals could be sexy even when they wear veils is they come in mini skirts cos mini skirts were not popular in those days.
Note:In some places ppl do not wear veils but in some places they wear. Its all depends how orthodox the region is.

It is an old rite that said a women must be subservient to the Lord. Hats, veils, and other head coverings were required, at least in the catholic churches, before recent times. In some Churches in Spain and France, if a owmen enters and doesn't pu on head covering they will provide it to you.

Very few do. But that might be because I'm black and go to churches where covering your hair was never that important for church. I've seen it in Orthodox churches, but only the old women, who probably lived in Greece or Russia back when women did cover their hair in public do so.

There are at least 45,000 Protestant churches in the U.S.
What caused all these different beliefs if the MESSAGE is so clear?
Virgin Birth - Was it a preconceived notion?
What is the Imacculate Conception?
An Imacculate Deception?
Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?
Jesus? Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Gods do not die? Do they?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.
If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

1 Cor 11.3-10. Paul speaks of the importance of women keeping their heads covered while praying.
I think most folks look at this as more of a culural reference, rather than a divine mandate.

I don't see it very often, but I believe it has something to do with showing respect to God by having your head covered. An old tradition.

They cover their head because the bible says a womans hair is her glory. They are there to give God the glory. This is a sign of respect to God.

This is something that ONLY the Rcs do. It is yet another one of their rituals. They make a fortune selling these mantillas.
They do ANYTHING to make money.

because it is the place of God and they by wearing veil they show their reverence of God but if they are outside since they are no longer inside the house of God they need not show their reverence
