While I don't subscribe to any of your religious views, teens are very susceptible to influence; from friends, from advertising, and from people that can convince them they have a "better way". They're at an age where they feel they can & should decide things for themselves, but usually haven't acquired enough experience or wisdom to see that they are making a bad, sometimes even dangerous, decision.

This is the time the "training wheels" come off. A time when parental control starts being scaled back and more responsibility given to the teen. They must start standing on their own feet more. So one it is inexperience, 2 their own heart (the flesh) desires forbidden things more powerfully than they realize, and 3 the spiritual enemies know that it is a vulnerable point for them and that they are more easily deceived then those who have learned by experience the snares of the devil.
As to stay focused being busy in the Word and prayer is important. Jesus said apart from Him we can do nothing so it is in Him and His ways we stand.

the older you get and the more experiences you have, if you're smart you'll be able to see patterns in things and spot trouble coming. when you're a teen - the world is your oyster - despite what everyone says you're still figuring things out - your hormoes are raging - and this is an easy stage for darkness to spin it's stuff. hang in there because we all went through it, and stay focused by first, calming down and taking a breath, and know that the power of Light is stronger than darkness and that if you concentrate on God, the Spirit will come. Study the Bible, take what read and pray for further wisdom.

The teens are young and impressive. And they have rebelious streak in them. When i was 17, i hunger after God but at the same time i could not help but making fun of my English teacher who has a really bad sense of dressing. No worries, you can grow out of it. To stay focus on God, i guess the best way is to stay away from secular pop music, trashy magazines. Most important, stay close to your christian friends. Try to mix with christian friends who are more mature in age and you will able to see their wisdom. Virtue is not innocence. Virtue is innocence tested.

Because they do not have a bibical background. If a kid has been taught at an early age what is right and wrong, they are less likely to ruin their life. Not in all cases of course, but most. As the scripture says "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it."

I am assuming by the enemey you mean Satan. In any case the answer doesn't change. Even in the wild preditors pick on the youngest and oldest members of the herd, because they do not know yet, or are able to, defend themselves against the preditor. And the evil one is nothing but a preditor.

In my opinion there are two things that can help keep you on track. The first thing is to keep having a quiet time with the Lord. Second get an adult to keep you accountable.

The main reason is because teens fail to respect the wisdom of their parents. It's hard to comprehend that we too were teens.
And teens think we "don't understand" we're too "old-fashioned" etc.
Your parents can tell you more about being 18 and younger than you can tell them about being 35 and older.
