I checked out your other question... they're not "stuck" in Texas. They live in Texas! They just don't like it, and they can't afford to move. That's a different situation all together. Your ex needs to get a job and save her money so she can move, just like everyone else who isn't rich and wants to move does. No charity or government handout is going to come her way for this. Sorry to be so blunt but I work really hard and I get annoyed when people expect other people to give them money just because they have a hard-luck story.

I am assuming they are "stuck" due to lack of cash. If that is the problem, you could wire them some money through Western Union. If you don't have any, perhaps you could ask all your family and friends for a little money from each of them.

I am also going to go under the assumption that your "kid" is little and therefore cannot be left alone so that your ex could go out and work. Where are they staying? Does your ex have friends or family in Texas?

They could try hanging out at a truck stop and asking a trucker for a lift. This could be dangerous- you don't say whether you are the male or female parent. I know, as a female, I don't think I would do this, but I wouldn't be ashamed if my husband did.

I wish them & you the best of luck.

take a bus, they are incredibly cheap and the kids will probably get half fair. Look in the phone book and see if there are any places where you can work for a day and get paid at the end of the day if you need cash. Look under employment services. Good Luck.
