Good morning! Let’s take a look at Jeremiah, Chapter 29. You know, it is an incredible opportunity to live in a city where there are so many key people in key leadership positions who know the Lord. Andy Souza, who is a great guy and is now City Manager of the City of Fresno, asked me to come up this week and speak to all the heads of his department. So you have the Police Chief, the Fire Chief, the person in charge of bus transportation, you have Public Works – all those folks – you have a guy who is in charge of Parks and Recreation who has been appointed to clean up some things that have been a bit difficult, and as I looked around the room, I realized that I’ve seen each of these folks in the paper at some point or another. And I thanked them for submitting themselves to public service, and submitting themselves to the brutality of the American democratic process. It is a tough world out there.
