You young guys are getting smarter every day. It's an old tradition that marks back in the times of old. It comes from the day when women were considered very low in a mans world type of thing. I know that's horrible and disgusting and you don't remember that as well as I don't. As women gained power they demanded more respect from the male counterpart. Respect and courtesy was two of them. Still today some women are treated like dirt as if we are in the stone age. Women have earned the right to be asked since they've only had that privelage a short time. Besides you'll see why later on in life when marriage gets you hooked. Been there done that.

When I was single I always let the guy know i was interested but I was always concerned that if i went up and hit on to him he would think i was too forward or another chick another night. Fear of being thought of as slutty or skanky is it i think, so if the guy made the first move it took some of that worry away. I'm married now so i don't have to worry anymore thank goodness.

Well society says if we act aggresive (going up to guys) etc. We are considered fast, loose alota unkind things. Things are slowly changing. But not fast enough. But also we like to know a guy likes us. But I am sure they guys feel the same!
