Crotch-pointing is normally unconscious body-language for something else. And it wouldn't be very pleasant, would it? Not sure why people point to their watches. In British Sign Language you point to your watch, make the 'what' sign and give a questioning face. But you don't point to your crotch in BSL, either, unless the person really doesn't get your meaning!

Pointing at the wrist is self explanatory. That's generally accepted as an indicator of time. But pointing at your crotch does not signify that you want to use the loo. It could very easily be mistaken for something more offensive.

People ask the time by pointing to a watch less wrist.

they point to the watch when they asked for the time b'coz that's where the watch gonna be....but they can't point to the crotch when asking for the loo as people will think that you are a horny guy can't help touching yourself or worst, the girls will run away scream sexual harassment when you start to touch your crotch in front of them.

if someone across the road pointed at their wrist you'd know what they eanted to ask without having to shout across the road, but if someone started pointing at their crotch you'd think they were either, mad, a pervert, or really wanted to get laid!
