the only thing a person really leaves behind is their mark on the earth... whether we affect one person or many. these are the marks that count.

I think, because we are all born with a wrong point of view about life, its meaning and values. I think it is a trap we fall in. Greed is our instinctive response to the insecurity and arrogance we feel. Unless we accept Jesus Christ who is the light of God into our lives, and our security and provision, we can never get out of this trap.
Now, even Christians who are supposed to have the right point of view about life (and they do), sometimes cannot see afar off and are being carried along with this attitude. It is a very strong influence and needs much notice to be taken of.

GOD has made us like that only. what ever we have done in we will get accordingly before going back to GOD. There is no need of the things in GOD's place. You will get the results only . It will depend about the performance you have given in your life. When you r born it is the God only who is resposible, When you r dead then what you will do the things you have got in your life. So dont go after those things which will not be remain with us forever. Try to believe in God only. He is the one who will be forever with us.
Whatever you will do for others , the same you will get for youorself in the life only. I dont believe in rebirth. You have to accept it.

Thats the way God has created the world to be. its our necessety to do some thing for overselves and others who are related to us, because thats what we need to do to survive. But, we should not attach rselves to the materialistic things that we aquire, we should just try to be helpful and nice to those who are important to us,.. and also to those who are not that imp to us..
