If cats were to be immortal (and not reproduce), would we still eat them?

Aw come on, why on earth would you want to eat a pet to start off with, that is a damn sick question, you should be shot for asking that, or even thinking like that, God put them on earth to be our companions, and to look after them and not go about slaughtering the poor animals.
You know what I actually wish they were immortal, so that dork's like you and others that eat our pets could be killed or injured by them and feel how that feels

The cat can't be immortal if it's been eaten cuz then it would be dead. So yea I guess if you want a living cat inside your stomache, you'd eat one.

Yes, because we humans tend to think we're king over everything and should use it to the fullest extent. I mean, we DID kill off the passenger pigeon.

Although, the only place I know that served cat got shut down for serving 'non agricultural meat.' (It was Chinese.... surprised?)
