Is there a specific contradiction you had in mind? Apparent contradictions are usually resolved with the use of a good study Bible (such as the New International Version) and looking up the verse in it's context. Also an understanding of the culture of the times, for which there are numerous reference books. If you wish a more in-depth philosophical answer, the Bible Answer Man and the Creation Research Institute are good resources and available on line.Unrelated, non-religious literature of the same time periods as the writings of the Scriptures also refer to the same rulers, natural disasters, historical events, etc. and are a good cross-reference for the veracity of the Bible .

You seem to be a person of many questions. JESUS was torchered and killed and yes I really believe it and so do a lot of other people. (but even if they didnt i still would) Yes the bible was written by humans (but inspired by God) and to prove it how is everyone writting a story and it all adds up and nothing contradicts with anything else? In the bible it says that there will be many contradictions therefore making it even more believeable. God does not punish us. We would have lived abundantly in the garden of eden if eve would not have ate of the fruit of the tree of life. then we were introduced to sin and everything that we do from that point onward is on us. we dont have to sin God does not make us.

if you have anymore questions feel free to contact me. I dont have all the answers no one person has all the answers but I will do what I can to answer any questions you have.

Religion is a touchy subject

when it comes to the sacred writings ie. the Bible, the Koran and so forth its explicitly described that the teachings, stories, and visions were all passed down to the writers (Humans) in forms of dreams, visions and so forth.

to begin with there is going to be some flaws you have to remember these writings go way back thousands of years. The Bible was once lost for a time. so there will be flaws.

In addition the contradicting beliefs are not the words of god. Take for example Christianity, that which i'm a beliver. There are many, many, many, many different sects or belivers of Christianity. You have you Catholics, Baptist, Protestants, and so forth they all have there different belifes, rituals, and customs for worship, saving, converting and so on. Yet for all their differences they go back to the core belifes of God The Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All of which are there different entites yet the same. The differences in these is made different by man.

In addition the passing of the sacred texts by go to man is complicated itself. The writers were shown a great deal of information. For example the Book Revalations in the bible is the end of the world. The writer saw it, but yet had to write it in a way that i would reach people. So there is some warpin of the message there. Not to mention our simple minds, in my opinion would be able to truly feel the affects and comprehend the full message. Another Example the Islamic prophet Muhamed, at first most people thought he was sick when he was trying to tell them of his visions.

to me It is the core belife of God who ever he represents or whatever toung you belive him in that matters. The Bible is merely a map leading to salvation

the Bible is a book that has been translated and modified by MEN.Most of it's stories are parables. People lost sight of the real lessons and created a way to control others instead. I think Jesus was a really cool dude with the right idea, but God himself? Why on Earth would he do that, but not even pass through to say howdy in the last 2000 years?

It was Jesus who the bible states was nailed to the cross, later died, then rose again, not God. The bible states that Jesus is God's son who was sent down to save us from our sins (he was sent down from heaven to spread the word of God).

It is true that the bible has many contradictions, but you have to remember that the bible was written many hundreds of years ago, and has also been translated from many different languages, and so in translation, something could have easily been translated wrong.

No, Jehovah's Witnesses believe Jesus their god. Christians believe Jesus is the single actual God. the infant became born and the Son of God became GIVEN. The Son of God has perpetually existed and He grew to develop into flesh in John a million:14.

I believe God became a man and He choose to lay down his life for us. He suffered a humiliation death by his choice. Jesus said in the garden that he could call leagens of angles to protect Him. But He choose to suffer to save us. What a mercifull God to do that for us. Yes I believe.

God preserves his Word so that you will have a chance to read the truth.

yes, of all the many people in this world, i'm sure someone really believe this
i didn't think of this question
i haven't 'really' studied bible apart from studying at school so i haven't discovered any contradictions
it's good that you study bibles
i believe in god though
what do you think: if someone tells you that the bible was written by god, but not humans
would you believe this?
it's just the same

Well, here's an area that Jews and Muslims can agree upon.

A prefect being - God - cannot be limited down to be "made flesh" and eat, fill diapers, and eventually get killed.
