You may find putting him into a 'big boy bed' will stop him getting up as climbing out of a crib is an adventure, not so fun when u can just get out. My daughter was 15 months and went into a bed fine, never got out, never fell out either.
Good luck

Sleep with him ^^! Come on, it's not as if your son's a big boy...
I loved sleeping with Daddy and Mummy when I was a baby. I wouldn't shut up until they let me climb into bed between them.
Actually I slept with Mum until I was seven or so. But then our situation was different from the average American's... our home was small, only two tiny rooms: there was a "single" bed in the study room and a "queen" bed in the master's bedroom. So if Daddy wanted to stay up late and work, I had to go sleep with Mum. That's life in Asia for you!

He climbed out of a bed or a crib? If he climbed out from a crib, you need to change to a bed. Either put a mattress on the floor or use a twin bed with a rail for safety.

i'd tell you to make sure that you make sure that there are no dangerous items lying around from his reach. he is at time of his life where he is becoming adventurous as well as restless. I'd recommend he sleeps on a matress in a room where there is carpeting becuase whatever you do he will try to get out and seeing you frustrated only adds the curiosity. Wait and see when he starts falling off beds when he is a little bigger. good Luck and enjoy this special moment in your kids life. beleive me you will be surprised how time flies.

They do make tent-like screens you can put over the crib, keeps cats and bugs out of the crib, and keeps the kid in.
But at 16-months, it's time for the toddler bed.

unfortunely u can't..u can shut the door..don't recommended it..and tying him up was a BAD idea...look to see where he takes a nap...some kids like to sleep in a paticular place. My kids slept on the sofa...and that's where they stayed. U can get a pop up tent and say its his own special place like his big boy place. He might think it's cool and could be comforting to him. So try the tent issue..but other then that..they will get up and continue to tell they finally get the idea. Just make sure cupboards are locked and doors are shut and locked. Just childproof ur home. That's what we did with our daughter when she went through her phase.

Best idea I can give you is take him out of the crib completely and put him in a toddler bed. If he is climbing already, it won't stop, and he may hurt himself.

they say when a kid climbs out of a crib it's time to get them a regular bed. does your crib convert to a toddler bed? thats what mine does you just take off the front and she climbs in just like she climbs in my bed. but my 21 months old hasnt climed out yet so i dont have to worry about that yet. i hear boys climb out quicker
