For everyone who does not believe in evolution, how do you explain that humans are getting taller every generation?

Like 100 years ago, it was rare that you saw someone 6 feet tall and now you see that everywhere.

I'm just curious as to what kind of answers I will get.

Better nutritition.
If you are attributing this particular occurrence to evolution, you would have a big logical problem apparent pretty soon...If you believe that every 100 years, evolution caused humans to grow a few inches taller, go back 1000 years and you'd have very, very short people! Even if you hypothesize it's only a percentage that's increasing, not to be measured in inches, the fact still remains...by that logic, go back 1000 years ago and you'd have people who are about 3 feet tall.
Obviously it's not evolution. It's the better nutrition and healthier lifestyles developed in the last 100 or so years.

People generally get bigger because nutrition has improved over the centuries. George Washington was considered somewhat of a giant during the Revolutionary War because he was 6 feet tall when most men were about 5 6". Consistent nutrition during the formative years will maximize the human potential for growth. Washington, being a aristocrat, had a better chance to grow big and strong than some struggling farmers child in Virginia.

no there is nothing like this,100 years ago people were over 8 feet tall (as written in Hindu mythology). Then in early modern times, average height was around 5 feet. Again, people seen are growing taller with the average height being 6 feet. This too, is not true in many underdeveloped countries where the average height is still around 5 feet.

Really interesting to consider Genesis 6:4 - "There were giants in the earth in those days, and in the days thereafter..." when the nephilim produced offspring who were super tall. giants written about again several times, including i think Numbers where the scouts go out to scope out the promised land, and come back afraid because there's giants there they say.
i always noticed that too - that people were mostly short over history - and now suddenly they're springing up.
I think it has something to do with, "I am the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega..." "Giants" at the beginning of the current earth age, giants at the end. yin/yang, etc.
I take away from it that we're close again to the beginning and that's why the genetics are kicking in and sprouting up.

That's an interesting personal observation. What I know from science is that the human gene pool quality is depleting down the centuries. So the life expectancy is going up thanks to the wonder drugs but things like natural immunity etc are all going down...

I guess the only thing which saves the pool is cross breeding across races as the genes get a fresh breath of life from another gene pool !!

we could try mating with aliens to see how it goes ;)

One other idea could be all these artificial growth hormones used in our food and vegetables and everything else we eat today for faster production. I guess that gets in to our system and makes us "taller" :)

It wasn't rare to see people six feet tall. There were a lot of tall people back in the days if you look at old school armor it is freaking huge.
Beside if evolution was true we wouldn't necessarily want to get taller because this would make more nutrition necessary to sustain our larger bodies therefore hindering us in times of famine.

The Japanese and Chinese are getting taller too. In general growing bigger and taller is a function of eating a better diet (including but not limited to meat which is a seldom seen treat in less-devloped countries). A century ago we understood next to nothing about nutrition, and had little, if any acess to medical care. Most people did not live past the age of 40. I too believe it evolution (du-uh, how can you NOT) but your argument is faulty.

How old are you? You have refered instance of 100 years ago. Disd you see any human being 100 years back of this date?

I must say that while questioning, one must review his question, whether there is any thing in the question, which can be cross-questioned.

All we believe is on the basis of hearsay or what is written as a personal opinion of some one enterprising person. We just believe every thing very easily.

if i'm not mistaken that has more to do with improved nutrition than anything else. however we are a lot taller than the adverage person 200 years ago. george washington was supposed to be a tall man but because people were smaller the measurments used were smaller.
the cubit measurment in ancient times was from the beginning of the forearm to the hand, yet people's forearms were shorter than they are now.
hey, maybe the watchers are breeding with mankind again.

Good grief.

Evolution is a fact, but the increasing height of humans is NOT proof of it. That is due to the better nutrition younger generations receive, not due to a change in their genes.

Seriously, anyone who claims that the increasing height of humans is due to evolution just really doesn't understand anything at all about evolution.
