After all, he never utilized his manhood in a traditional sense, nor his mother her maidenhead....so why does it all need to be so masculiine when things were asexual at best? Is there no divine feminine counterpart to all these patriarchial concepts, such as a feminine Jesus and/or loving Mother God?

Jesus was a mythical transexual, or a eunuch or asexual, a cold fish hence the cold little fishy symbol you see on car bumpers.
Maybe it was ...The Sonia of God!

It gives femenist christians something else to argue about and get attention so they get more "rights" and be more "equal" with men.
It also allows others to accuse christianity of being sexist, not thinking that God could possibly be a women or have a personality of a women.

It's just like certain black communities have pictures of christ, but he's black. I won't mention the illogic of this.

It also proves how confused christians are and how pathetic our society is. Our society now is just getting rid of everything that can offend the lower majority of of people. This makes things "equal". If we hold onto religious views, habits, traditions or believes that hurt someone elses feelings were at fault and we have to change.

Yes jesus was a man,not to mention all the historital proof all the professies in the bible would be forfeit, particularly "son of David". As he was mentioned to be, in several hundred ancient documents, for several thousand years. Also the fact that only jewish men may preach when they reached 30 years old. You will also notice how there are no female ministers in the scriptures. Women have a different calling than to preach.

I have never heard of anyone dispute over whether Jesus was a man or woman. because supposedly Jesus was a real man - there is some discovered scriptures that say he was totally real, a wife, child...it is God who peopel dispute over whether he is a man or woman. For some people it does matter if He was man or woman. I was raised that He was a man...so I guess that is why I think he was a man...it doesn't matter to me either way. He probably isn't man nor woman...but it would sound weird to say call him an it now wouldn't it? and if Jesus is God and Jesus is a man then wouldn't God be man. but God is pry neither man or woman. Gods just God and I think Jesus is a man because women can't make a child with another woman.

he is called the Son of God, and there has never been a dispute to whether Jesus a real man lived. its a historical fact even muslims and jews believe this. the debate is whether He was the Messiah. see the Jews wanted a God on a flamming chariot to strike down all the sinners and here came Jesus a man who ate with them and spoke of forgivness for one anothers transgressions. so he was a man and in my belief the Messiah too.

In that time of year maybe people won't be willing to follow a women to be their leader so it might be difficult to spread the religion all over the world. This applies if jesus is a woman.

it is a matter of correct history. Does it matter if we believe George Washington was a woman? It comes down to whether you want to beleive the truth or beleive something in order to fit your personal beliefs. If you want to believe Abraham and Moses were women you have that right.

None.

However, He has to be portrayed to us a one or the other, doesn't he? because that's what we understand.
I think He was portrayed as a male in Scripture--and came to earth as a male--because in that society, men were given more respect than women. People would take Him more seriously if He were a male than a female.

The question is what difference does it make to you? To be perfectly fair, if you are having a problem with it, maybe you need to ask yourself why is it so important to you that he is represented asexually.
