each line has its own character...you have to select them according to the situation...vertical line expresses dignity, power and dominance...if you are using in your dress it increases your height...horizontal line expresses politeness, calm, restfullness,pious and obedience...it also gives you a feel of freedom...tall persons can use this lines in their dress to reduce their height.
