Of course that is the whole fun thing about having a cat. More independent. Really think about it ? They are thinking why did he let that Axe murderer in the house? Now he is going to run around and try and kill that moth! That will wake me up! Probably disturb my eating schedule. The Axe murderer is going to mess up the place and the cops probably won't even think to feed me! I will have to come up with a new way to be clever and get a meal out of someone new! Darn I hate it when that happens! really blows the whole COOL think I had going on!

Well cats where worshiped in ancient Egypt so maybe they get the royalty thing from ancestors. But the dog smarter then cats thing it totally wrong cats aren't way smarter but they have more common sense then dogs and think before they act.
Many people fail to understand the silent body language of cats. In particular, 'dog people' who are accustomed to the outward signs of dog 'language' seem slow in detecting what a cat is telling them in its body language, which creates the false impression among "dog people" that cats are cold-hearted, unemotional, or dumb. To understand cats, one must observe a feline closely and learn what its body signals tell you. It is important to keep in mind that each cat may display their emotions with different body language. The flattened ears, teeth showing, baring belly for submission are easily 'read' by humans. Some characteristic signals, however, are often misunderstood. For instance, a cat rubbing its body along an arm or leg of its human is not only a way in which to attract attention and, perhaps, a morsel of food. It is also a way of 'marking' its human as its very own. Using scent glands located around its mouth and elsewhere, it subtly 'marks' its human as part of its cat territory. Most cats prefer gentle rubs behind the ears. To inform their humans they need petting or attention, a cat may push its entire body weight up against the human as the cat snuggles next to his/her favorite person.

What is the difference between a dog and a cat?
If you feed a dog it looks at you and thinks you are a god.
If you feed a cat it looks at you and thinks that it must be a god.
Take that one step further, and how much different does a god consider a person from a moth?

It is a cats nature, to stalk. Do you have a gray cat? I have found that gray colored cats seem to be more aggressive than most other cats. My experience. I have a gray cat and he wants to be petted when he wants it, if not watch out. All my other cats are mellow.

Because cats are not as smart as dogs, and should only belong to lonely, librarian lookalikes, who live alone in one room apartments. Cats also taste very good.

Trust a cat?
NEVER!!!
They are the devils spawn incarnate. (trying to be dramatic here) We have 2 almost identical cats, black and white. I believe they look at me in the morning sitting side by side just to make me think I drank to much....and I never drink... that much.

you DO have the privilege of being the one that is allowed to feed them. you are lucky that they ALLOW you to pay the bills in order to live with THEM. and of course they have to turn their nose up at the food from time to time that is how they keep you on your toes! and its their job. my kitty is afraid of a terrible creature, a creature that swims in a fish bowl!!!! a BLUE FISH AHHHHH. love your kittys for what they are, adorable. and if you spend enough time with them, you will see they have a lot of facial expressions.
