My mum told me once that even if people treated u so bad or were rude with u for any reason, u shouldn't wrong them or fight with them, u souldn't go down to their level. U should treat people ur way not their way. U r a good person, u shouldn't be bad with anyone if they were bad to u, coz right then u'll never be a good person...

I think your mother is right, up to a certain extent. I agree that you shouldn't go down to their level and become rude and do bad things in return for what they do to you. You should try to be polite and not do anything bad to them.
But some people will just go on forever treating you like dirt if you never stand up for yourself. You shouldn't take their rudeness forever. But it's possible to stand up for yourself without being rude. You just have to make it clear to them that you won't let them treat you like this. You can flat out say it to them politely that you don't like being treated like this and won't take it and that you are not going to argue about it, and then walk out if they continue being rude.
I've learned that when you let people be rude to you, they never stop, they walk all over you until you stand up for yourself. You can stand up for yourself without going down to their level.

I was taught that also. Two wrongs dont make a right! And treat others the way you wish to be treated!
I believe in Karma but sometimes Karma takes too darn long to kick in so I think sometimes it needs a helping hand.
The rude people dont learn any lessons when you talk back to them with decency and respect after they have dissed you.
Sometimes it takes someone to stand up and point things out to bring them back into perspective. I guess it depends on the situation ;)

I think they will walk all over you if you let them...
Sure did to me...
Then I fliped out and scared the **** out of some people.... and they started treating me really nice after that.
If you ingore the problem it won't go away.... Don't say you have to fight them but least stand up to them, and if it comes to fighting don't back down.
Don't start truble, but don't ignore it.
Then again use your brain ofcrose... some situations you just have to walk away from..... like 10 people cornering you or something....

no matter what you should not disrespect people (wrong them) if they something to you or not!! be a good person it helps with your soul! be good to feel good! and if you believe in it or not there is always that little thing i like to call karma!!

absolutely, but don't let people walk all over you as they will know you won't stand up to them. you must know how to strike a balance of when to ignore and when to stop ppl in their tracks.
